September, a month of conferences

September has been a stimulating month. I have received very useful feedback in the three meetings in which I have presented my work and enjoyed meeting new colleagues as well as catching up with old ones. I wish the MGMS meeting on Computational Chemical Biology in Manchester would have lasted longer, it was that good. The BIOCOMP conference in Bulgaria was quite broad, but I found interesting learning what the key problems in other areas of bioinformatics are.  Lastly, the Oxford Drug Design conference was excellent, with a balanced programme showcasing both academic and industrial work in this research area.
